Keith Molzer General Partner As a native Nebraskan (Go Big Red), Keith has spent his entire life in the Midwest including the last 25 years in Kansas City. He has been an entrepreneur for more than 30 years and has started a variety of companies in the region. Prior to co-founding Flyover Capital, Keith founded and served as CEO of Balance Innovations for nine years. He was awarded the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010 and has received the Kansas City Business Journals Champions of Business award three times. Keith currently sits on the Board of KCNext, opendorse, BuluBox, and Lending Standard and serves on the executive board of the Kansas City chapter of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Keith attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earned his BA from Baker University and MBA from Rockhurst University. DeBacco General Partner When not taking in a Kansas Jayhawks basketball game at historic Allen Field House, Tom is one of the founding partners at Flyover Capital. Having been in the tech arena since 1981, Tom is a long-standing serial entrepreneur and angel investor. He has held national and international executive leadership positions at Innovative Software, Informix Software and Fox Software, and has successfully founded and built three other software companies: Visual Components (acquired by Sybase), Tidestone Technologies (acquired by Actuate), and iModules (acquired by Leeds Equity Partners). Most recently, Tom is co-founder of Essenza Software (mobile software). As an active supporter of the Kansas City community, Tom serves on the Board of Cornerstone Bancshares, Rockhurst High School, Preferred Physicians Medical, Innara Health and Santa Marta Retirement Center. Tom lives in Leawood, KS and is a graduate of Rockhurst University with a BSBA in business management. tdebacco@flyovercapital.com Michael Peck General Partner With nearly fifteen years of venture investing under his belt, Michael is a founding member of Flyover Capital. His diverse background includes engineering, operations, and investment experience with a focus on life science and technology. Most recently, Michael served as a general partner at Open Prairie Ventures helping build the firms second fund. Previously, he assisted with economic development legislation and managed a thirty-company portfolio as Vice President of Investments at the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation (KTEC). He sat on the other side of the table as an executive with two California-based startups after a strategic consulting position with Accenture. Michael is also CEO and President of Innara Health, a company that builds new medical innovations for neonatal care. Michael received his Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Engineering Management, both from Northwestern University. He is also a recovering engineer with bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas. Most importantly, Michael is proudly married to Laurie with whom he has two young sons that are entrepreneurs-in-training (EIT). mpeck@flyovercapital.com Thad Langford General Partner After establishing his business chops in both Fortune 500 and early-stage environments, Thad is one of the founding partners at Flyover Capital. Before Flyover, Thad was President and CEO of Zave Networks (acquired by Google), a venture-backed digital advertising tech company. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Sprint leading several businesses during the formative years of mobile data and wireless wholesale services. One of his executive positions included managing Sprints Innovation program and co-founding Sprint Nextel Ventures. Since moving to the Midwest after stints on both coasts, Thad is committed to bolstering the regional early-stage technology scene. As such, he co-founded BlackOps Development, a high-quality software development company, and serves on the Board of several rapidly developing companies. Thad graduated from the University of Arizona where he played on the Wildcats nationally ranked NCAA tennis team. He also earned his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. tlangford@flyovercapital.com Marty Bicknell General Partner Marty Bicknell is the chief executive officer of Mariner Holdings, the parent company of Mariner Wealth Advisors and Montage Investments. He serves on the board of directors for all of Mariner Holdings subsidiaries. As a recognized leader in the field of financial problem-solving for companies and their executives, Marty has been a valuable resource for other successful entrepreneurs. He has extensive personal and professional experience with closely held family businesses and the unique complexities within those types of organizations. Marty has a bachelors degree from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. He serves on the board of directors for the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas, the American Royal, the KU Advancement Board for the University of Kansas Medical Center, and on the MRIGlobal Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and is a board member for the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City. He is also involved in supporting several organizations through his sponsorship and committee participation, including Marillac, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), KU Med Cancer Care and Youth Entrepreneurs. When not overseeing Mariners family of companies, Marty can be found on the running trails or sinking putts on a golf course. Tim Foote Associate Tim joined Flyover Capital in March of 2015, bringing with him his enthusiasm for working with early-stage technology startups. In his role as associate, Tim is highly involved throughout the various stages of evaluating investment opportunities. Tim has experience working in both the startup setting as well as at large corporations like Apple and Eli Lilly. Prior to Flyover, Tim developed his due diligence skills at Mid America Angels. Tim graduated with honors from Ithaca College in Upstate New York and is currently pursuing his MBA at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
